Dawood’s Close Friend And Main Conspirator Of 1993 Mumbai Bomb Blasts, “Farooq Takala” Arrested
Yasin Mansoor Mohammed Farooq also known as Farooq Takala, one of the main conspirators of the 1993 Mumbai blasts, has finally been arrested after 25 years. The 57-year-old Farooq Tackle is considered close to underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. On Thursday, the CBI spokesman informed that Farooq Takal was arrested from Dubai and brought to Mumbai. According to the spokesman, Farooq will be offered under the special TADA court in Mumbai.
According to the investigating agency, Takala and his brother Mohammed Ahmed Mansoor provided some of the names of accused in the Mumbai bomb blast to who provided material related to the attack. These accused were in Dubai from where they were sent to Pakistan for arms training. In the afternoon of December 12, 1993, 12 bombs were struck , one after another, in which 257 people died and 713 were injured. All the blasts were between 1.30 am and 3.40 pm After the blasts, the CBI managed to catch Mansoor, but Farooq escaped from his hand and fled to Dubai. Mansur was acquitted later because the prosecution had failed to prove his role in the blasts.
The Red Corner Notice was issued in 1995 against the absconded Farooq Takala. Senior advocate Ujjwal Nikam said that his arrest was a big success. At the same time, NCP leader and senior advocate Majid Memon said, " Takala has been brought to India to show that he wants a trial too. Initially his custody will be sought. There is no question of getting bail. '
