Man Comes To Deposit Rs 50 Lakh At Bank, Duped Instead In Hyderabad

A person who wants to exchange his 50 lakh cash Rs was duped by burglars near Rajendera Nagar police station of Cyberabad.

According to the officials, the man approached the police this morning and informed about the cheating.

According to the complaint, the person reached the ICICI branch of Rajendera Nagar to deposit Rs 50 lakhs but on reaching there, he found it was not open. On his way back, few men came on bikes and overtook his vehicle. They asked him to hand over the money, threatening him of involving police and media. They successfully escaped after forcible taking the money.

ACP Rajendera Nagar K Ganga Reddy told India Today, "As per the complainant, somebody approached him saying that they will help him deposit the money and get him new Rs 2000 notes from the ICICI bank. On his way back, he was stopped by burglars at a deserted place where after threatening him, they fled with the money."

Police has booked a case and are trying to identify the culprits.
