Don’t Scare Me I Am Not Sonia Or Rahul: Kejriwal Hits On PM
A day after being named in an FIR by Delhi Police in the tanker scam, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday.
"Modiji, I am not a Rahul Gandhi or Sonia Gandhi that you can scare me. I am not a Robert Vadra that you can have a setting (secret deal) with me. The Modi government doesn't file cases against Rahul Gandhi or Sonia Gandhi or Vadra but it targets me," Kejriwal said.
"Modi has tried to intimidate people with raids, false cases and threats. But I am standing like a rock -- I won't bend, break or back off," he added.
A case was registered on Monday by Delhi's Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) in connection with the alleged 400-crore water tanker scam linking former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.
He said both Dikshit and Kejriwal will be quizzed. "An FIR has been registered under relevant sections of IPC and Prevention of Corruption Act and both of them will be quizzed," ACB Chief Meena said.
Last week, the Delhi government had sent a report of a fact-finding committee on the scam to Lt Governor Najeeb Jung.
Delhi BJP leader Vijender Gupta had also filed a complaint with Jung accusing Kejriwal of "suppressing" the committee's report for 11 months. The Lt Governor had forwarded the committee's report as well as Gupta's complaint to the ACB.
Last week, Delhi's Water Minister Kapil Mishra had written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Jung recommending either CBI or ACB probe against Dikshit in connection with alleged scam.
